Cukurova Municipality Urban Transformation Project
The Sukurova government planned to create the Cukurova municipality urban transformation project in Cukurova, Adana, Turkey, using China Overseas Engineering Group as the contractor. The project included the construction of 2,000 housing units over a 2,200,000 square metre area. The new-style buildings will be substantially improved after the project is completed. In terms of comfort and beauty, the seismic ability will be considerably improved at the same time, which will effectively decrease house collapse and injuries during earthquakes.
The cost of the project reached 2 billion dollars and was completed in 2020 After it was started in early 2017, the Turkish government is establishing this project to overcome irregular migration as a result of the Arab Spring.
