Description
ACS880-04F drive modules are designed for outdoor cabinet installations and for harsh environment installations where dust and other impurities are present. In flange mounting (push through), the drive is installed from a flange onto a cabinet wall so that the heatsink is outside the cabinet. This way, the airflow through the drive control section, and the heatsink are separated. As only the control section is inside the cabinet, less heat is generated within the cabinet. Lower heat load in the cabinet improves system reliability. With the reduced need for cooling air, smaller fans or heat exchanger units can be used, and the need for cabinet filter maintenance is reduced.
