ABOUT LUNA

LUNA was founded in 1991 in İzmir as a company that designs and manufactures electronic circuits and products for measuring electrical energy. LUNA quickly becomes market leader with its electricity meters and this allowed LUNA to develop and expand its product range to new areas. Thus the water meter production and design started in 2013.

At the end of 2015, LUNA has become one of the limited numbers of Registered Research and Development Center authorized by the government operating in Turkey. R&D Center of LUNA is composed of Electronic R&D, Software R&D, Mechanic R&D and Water Meter R&D departments. in LUNA, over 600 employees and strong, experienced R & D team with 60 engineers and technicians fully design, develop and manufacture of all the components required for production; electronic circuits, plastic and metal components, software and hardware are made in the factory.

Currently, LUNA is one of the biggest smart meter suppliers in Turkey which provides high quality and high technology smart meters to the inside and outside of the Turkey. LUNA has also more than 400,000 smart meters manufacturing capacity in a monthly period. Besides, LUNA is the market leader in Turkey for the last 5 years, sold more than 4 million electronic electric meters and sold more than 1.5 million water meters and with the 15% export ratio within each year.

Now LUNA has comprehensive production area with smart electric meters, mechanical and smart water meters, smart network technologies, lV-power sockets and dimmers, heat meters, indoor and outdoor lighting products and with this comprehensive working area LUNA reached more than 90% market share in 2016 in Turkey.

By the coordination with Test Laboratories and Organizations authorized by EU, LUNA Smart Meters have required MID and national certifıcates. Now LUNA has an accredited laboratory for water meters according to TS EN I5O/IEC 17025 and 150-9001 and tests products of the customers in and outside the company with the assurance adequacy of testing and calibration.

LUNA can also supply to the customer market in the shortest time possible with the production of high quality and high quantity smart meters for special custom needs or for special custom requirements.

LUNA smart water meters range includes;

For all diameter sizes (DN15-DN250) with the very high and accurate measurement values; digital water meters which are designed and developed without any mechanical display unit includes both secure dual optical and RF readouts (AMR) capability in the standard. Also the meters, if required, can be equipped with the ball-valve to control the consumers’ water usage via two-way radio frequency communication. Ball valve integrated meters can be used as prepaid meters and/or cut off the water flow in case of excessive usage regarding to bursts and leaks. The meters have high accuracy classes C (R >= 250), continues to measure accurately and ready for very difficult fıeld conditions for at least 1 O years with its single battery.

Smart prepaid meters also have very high measurement accuracy (class C or Class B), designed and developed along with the very secure core contactless technology without compromise any security step required, also to maximize the security they are implemented with SAM (Secure Access Module) module features which are standards in our all smart prepaid meters.

LUNA also develops projects in line with the market demand and with years of experience in the electricity meter industry and stands out in the smart water meter technology with its experienced R & D team.
