IMG was founded by Mr. Ahmed Issa,

One of the modern pioneers of the natural stone industry in Egypt as well as in the Arab world. IMG produces and manufactures natural stones in Egypt.

IMG is producing marble, granite and hard limestone in blocks, slabs, tiles and ordered shapes and sizes with several finishing features.

IMG was established in 1966. In 1988 IMG expanded and setup another factory in 6th October city.

Throughout 50 years long of experience in this field, IMG has continuously been very careful in selecting a highly experienced team of experts, consultants, technicians and employees in all spheres, such as: production, science, technology management. They are the most reliable personnel who can manage, and operate those modern machines utilizing the most sophisticated technologies for all kinds of production and installation phases.

IMG, in its perseverance to obtain the highest quality of production standard, is in constant consultation with the laboratories of the national research center, the geological survey authority, Cairo University, the American University, and TEI (USA).

This as regards tests of its quarries’ production. IMG factories manufacture marble and granite according to ASTM, UNI and CEN specification standards.

General Historical Review

For more than 5000 years ago ancient Egyptians had used different types of stones to build their graves and temples like Al-Giza pyramids, Abou-Simple, Fiala and Al-Karnack temples. Then who came after them used it in Theaters, Mosques, Public buildings and Barrage. In the past Egyptian marble had been exported to Roma and Constantinople like the Samaq Empire Marble. Now Egypt exports marble and granite to all countries around the world. Egypt locates the fourth stage in exporting marble, with a share12 % of universal exporting size.
