ABOUT Geotechnical and materials Testing Center

Geotechnical and materials Testing Center (GMT), was established in 1998.In May 1999, it began to present its engineering services and consultants in Geotechnical and Foundation Engineering, Materials Engineering, Quality Control and Evaluation of existing structures. This Center is a subsidiary of Center for Environmental and Civil Engineering Studies, GMT Center consists of two floors, the upper floor has an area of (about 220m2), this floor is specified for offices and reception, however part of this floor is equipped with some machines used for soil test (such as consolidation, shear and hydrometer machines). The lower floor has an area of about 140m2, this floor is specified as a lab for asphalt, aggregate, concrete and soil tests. A plan for the upper floor, which show the internal distribution of offices, The laboratory is equipped with modern wide-range calibrated machines and instruments; most of the equipment is made by ELE and MATEST, some are made in Russia. A list of all the equipment, type, calibration, quantity and manufacturing date could be provided upon request.
