Kamal Homsi, born in Beirut 1947, studied architecture at the American university of Beirut where he graduated in 1971. He was architect in charge for three years at Pierre Khoury’s office until 1974 whence he established architectural design unit. adu . Bassil, Homsi & Associates (1976, 1995), an independent architectural firm in association with architect Pierre Bassil, that later became from 1995 to 2001 Bassil & Homsi architects. In 2001 he formed on his own archika. Kamal Homsi architects a new architectural design studio run together with a distinctive group of designers dedicated to making architecture a public policy. Kamal Homsi passed away on October 28, 2008.

Joseph Yammine, born in Beirut 1966, studied architecture at Lebanese Academy of Fine Arts (ALBA) where he graduated in 1992. He joined Bassil . Homsi & Associates as junior architect in 1992 then moved along with Kamal Homsi to become partner in charge of archika . Kamal Homsi architects.
