Al Husainiyah solar power plant project

The renewable energy business AMEA Power, Dubai-based, announced the commissioning, in its second-largest operational renewable energy power plant in the country, of its 50 megawatt (MW) Al Husainiyah solar power plant in Jordan.

The Project is supported by AMEA Power, a leading developer and primary owner (70%) and Philadelphia Solar in Jordan (30%), and was awarded after the second phase of Jordan's renewable energy (FiT) programme. The Project is situated 200 km south of Amman, at Ma'an Governorate.

The Company is seeking to reach a financial closing of 1200 MW of combined solar and wind projects and more than $1 billion in investments.
